Reverend Dr. Qiyamah Rahman is a Unitarian Universalist minister. She was minister at the UU Fellowship of St. Croix in the Virgin Islands from 2012 to 2018.

Today Rev. Dr. Rahman will join us on Zoom to tell us her reflections and insights on the history and presence of Blacks in the Unitarian Universalist Association.  She has been a UU member for 31 years, a UU minister for 16 years and has been researching and writing about Black UU women and girls for almost 30 years.  Currently, she is the full-time volunteer Executive Director of Sister Source, Inc., a non-profit organization which she founded.  It is dedicated to serving Black UU women and girls. 

Rev. Dr. Rahman is the editor of the book The Rough Side of the Mountain:  Black Women’s Ministries in Unitarian Universalism.  She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan as well as a Master of Divinity from Meadville Lombard Theological School and a Doctor of Arts in Africana Women’s Studies from Clark Atlanta University.
